
Rolls-Royce CEO Tufan Erginbilgic met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday to discuss the company’s plans to scale up its operations in India, aligning with the vision of Viksit Bharat (Developed India). The conference was a major move towards the Rolls-Royce strategy of increasing its reach and partnership with the Indian innovative labor force.
Prime Minister Modi expressed his enthusiasm in a post on X, stating, "It was wonderful meeting Mr. Tufan Erginbilgic, CEO of Rolls-Royce, earlier today. We welcome Rolls-Royce's enthusiasm towards scaling up its activities in India and partnering with our innovative and dynamic youth."
The subject of the discussion was how Rolls-Royce had plans of improving its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in India to make it the largest of its kind in the world. Co-developing and additional high-value engineering skills through further advanced production capabilities are also targets of the company, which is part of the rising technological and industrial strength of India.

The British manufacturing giant posted the information about the meeting on their social media profile with a focus on their desire to contribute to the goals of India in terms of development. The company stated, "Our CEO Tufan Erginbilgic met Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi today to discuss how Rolls-Royce is scaling up to be a part of Viksit Bharat, including expanding its GCC to be the largest globally, co-creating complex manufacturing, and building high-value engineering capabilities."
