RPSG Group drives a clear power shift in its FMCG business as Harshad Jain takes over as chief executive officer.
This appointment injects cross-sector leadership into the conglomerate’s consumer vertical and signals a deliberate move to professionalize operations.
Jain arrives with more than 35 years of diverse experience that spans consumer goods, telecom, media, aviation and advisory roles.
His unusual career path from PepsiCo India through telecom and media into airport non-aero commercial leadership and board advisory positions now leads him into a pure FMCG CEO role.
The group positions him at RPSG House, where he reports directly to the vice-chairman. This talent injection stands out because RPSG chooses to import proven operators from aviation, media and telecom rather than draw only from traditional FMCG peers.
Harshad Jain builds his career across multiple industries and brings a rare blend of skills to the RPSG FMCG vertical.
He holds a postgraduate diploma in sales and marketing and has developed deep expertise in profit and loss management, sales and marketing, business transformation, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and digital transformation.
The group highlights his strong track record of building and scaling businesses, driving profitability, leading large teams and delivering sustained growth through strategic investments and innovative business models.
His professional path unfolds in this sequence:
This trajectory underscores RPSG’s willingness to look beyond conventional FMCG talent pools and bring operators who have managed complex, consumer-facing businesses in aviation, media and telecom.

Jain’s arrival marks a deliberate power shift that prioritizes operational professionalism in a relatively young consumer vertical. He will base himself at RPSG House and report to the group’s vice-chairman.
The organizational circular welcomes him onboard and expresses confidence in his ability to succeed in the new role. By choosing a leader who has navigated profit-and-loss accountability across telecom, media and airport commercial businesses, RPSG injects fresh external perspective into its FMCG operations.
The move differentiates the group from peers that typically recycle talent within the FMCG circle and instead bets on cross-sector capability to drive the next phase of growth and efficiency.
