Syrma SGS announced today a major step in its expansion strategy: groundwork has begun for a new PCB manufacturing plant in Andhra Pradesh.
The project managed by its subsidiary, Syrma Strategic Electronics Pvt Ltd, intends to increase the production capacity of electronics in India.
The plant will be situated in the Naidupeta Industrial Zone and will provide numerous PCB technologies, including the single- and multi-layered projects. Upon its launch, it will improve the production capacity of the company and increase its presence in the emerging electronics supply chain in India.
The plant will also provide more than 1, 000 direct employment opportunities within the area. This expansion is expected to cultivate local talent as well as make Naidupeta a big industrial hub. The centre also helps India to increase the domestic production in key sectors.

Syrma SGS also collaborated with Shinhyup Electronics (SH Electronics Ltd), South Korea-based international precision PCB design vendor, to offer high-tech engineering of the plant. The technology of Shinhyup is introduced in the expanding electronics market in India through this joint venture which places the plant in the path of achieving high quality outcomes and better competitiveness in the market.
According to Js Gujral, Managing Director of Syrma SGS Technology, the introduction is an indication that the company believes in the potential of India as a high precision electronics production centre. He emphasized that the next stage of evolution was preconditioned by high level of technology, professional employees and cooperation with Shinhyup Electronics.
With ongoing construction, the Naidupeta plant is poised to emerge as a key production location to establish Syrma SGS as a key participant in the development of an electronic manufacturing ecosystem of the next generation in India.
