After 17 years in the Indian market, Inteva Products LLC, a multinational automotive systems supplier with headquarters in the US, has announced intentions to build a second production plant in Pune.
With an investment of Rs. 50 crores, the new plant is expected to create more than 400 jobs in India's automotive industry. The plant will concentrate on manufacturing cutting-edge automobile parts intended for India's changing transportation market.
"Inteva's expansion in India reflects our confidence in the region's growth potential and our shared journey towards innovative and sustainable mobility," said Gerard Roose, President and CEO of Inteva Products. The company emphasized that the expansion will enable enhanced collaboration with regional customers and deeper integration with local supply chains.

Inteva announced the launch of a number of cutting-edge goods for Indian original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in tandem with the industrial expansion. Frameless window regulators, power folding actuators, glass actuators, SLIM motors for window regulators, E-Latch systems, frunk latches, and power tailgates are all part of the new product selection. These innovations are intended to promote electrification initiatives, decrease weight, and improve vehicle safety.
According to Sanjay Kataria, Vice President and Managing Director for India and Rest of Asia at Inteva Products, the expansion is in line with the Make in India campaign and highlights the company's dedication to providing customized, customer-focused solutions for the nation's automotive growth.
A manufacturing plant in Pune and a technical center in Bengaluru comprise Inteva's current infrastructure in India. With more than 320 workers, including more than 180 engineers, the Bengaluru center is a global center for business support, product design, validation, and simulation.
