Uttar Pradesh administration has declared the realization of PM Mitra Park spread over Lucknow and Hardoi districts which will be implemented at a rough cost of Rs 1,680 crore. Covering 100 acres, this park is expected to generate over 1 lakh employment opportunities while attracting Rs 10,000 crore worth of investments, thus reshaping the state's profile as a leader of industrial hub.
This park, embodying the spirit of PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks initiative, is in line with the central government's plan to bring about as many as seven such parks in the whole country, namely, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.
Among the materials used for manufacturing PM Mitra Park are eco-friendly construction materials, and energy conservation is done through architecture of energy-efficient, use of solar power, water conserved through rainwater harvesting, and e-waste management system are some of the other facilities for industrial eco-friendliness.
Apart from this, areas for residential, educational, transportation, utilities, and recreational activities have also been allocated, which helps in establishing a well-balanced ecosystem. The endeavor is a turning point where Uttar Pradesh concentrates on “Development with Environment” which makes it possible for industrial expansion to coexist with ecological conservation.

To that effect, PM Mitra Park has set a target to become a model for high environmental standards for industrial infrastructure, which will be an example for “Green State” and will raise India’s economy along with creating more jobs through the implementation of green belts, buffer zones and water conservation measures.
