Andhra Pradesh has entered into a significant agreement with Tillman Global Holdings for a project to develop a 300 MW hyperscale data centre campus called TDGAP1 in Visakhapatnam; this is a major step toward the digital development of the state.
The New York-based company will invest Rs 15,000 crore in development of the project with the support of the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB).
The MoU establishes a framework for time-bound development, which is anticipated to be completed in around 12 months, with APEDB coordinating the support for investors and acting as a facilitator across agencies for the consistent implementation of both state and central policies.
The 40 acre TDGAP1 site and development is expected to create around 200–300 direct jobs and generate an estimated indirect employment of 800–1,000 by the year 2028 through their support services, providing logistic support, and expanding the cloud network.

In turn, Tillman Global will provide the necessary investment, technology, design, and critical infrastructure related to the development of the project while the state departments involved will allocate land and provide incentives through appropriate processes.

Nara Lokesh, Minister for IT, Electronics, and HRD, said the investment will strengthen the state’s digital backbone and attract allied sectors. The move follows Google’s USD 15 billion AI data centre announcement with Adani Group and Airtel, reinforcing Visakhapatnam’s rise as a premier digital infrastructure hub in the Indo-Pacific.
