Philips Machine Tools has commenced its new mega facility in Pune , and it was officially announced from the organization.The new establishment, extending over 250,000 sq. feet, and it is equipped with advanced technology for the production, assembly, and testing of advanced machine tools and automation solutions.
It will serve as the focus of Philips Machine Tools business operations in South Asia and India, which serves a wide range of industries including general engineering, automotive, aerospace, electronics and medical devices.
The opening of this large-scale facility is in keeping with India's growing emphasis on technological and manufacturing self-sufficiency. By deploying new automation with local sourcing, Philips Machine Tools aims to curtail imports and develop homegrown innovation.
The facility is soon expected to produce more than 1000 direct and indirect jobs, creating opportunities for engineers, technicians, and industry support. To help overcome the skills gap in advanced manufacturing technologies, onsite training capabilities will collaborate with local educational facilities. The increased capacity of the new plant will allow for better participation in local and overseas markets and help to raise the bar for high-precision machine tools exported from India.
