Ashok Leyland Began Delivery of Electric Trucks to ASAT Logistics

ASAT Logistics Private Limited has received the first batch of four of the 24 AVTR 55T Electric Trucks commissioned by Ashok Leyland, the flagship company of the Hinduja Group and an important player in India's commercial vehicle market, which has commenced deliveries of these electric trucks. ASAT Logistics will use the vehicles for the transportation of goods for Shree Cement.

The handover ceremony saw Sanjeev Kumar, President – MHCV at Ashok Leyland, present the keys to Arvind Sarda, CEO of ASAT Logistics Pvt Ltd. Speaking at the event, Kumar said “We are pleased to deliver the first of our AVTR 55T Electric trucks to ASAT Logistics”.

“These vehicles represent our ongoing focus on clean mobility solutions without compromising on performance. Our association with ASAT Logistics reflects the growing confidence businesses have in our electric vehicle technology and our commitment to providing reliable, efficient, and environmentally responsible transport solutions,” he added.

The 55T Electric Trucks are designed on Ashok Leyland's modular AVTR platform, and equipped with the latest Lithium-ion battery advances, dual-gun fast-charging convenience, and standard trailer specifications. They also have automatic transmission, ADAS safety features, telematics, and a comfortable cabin focused on the driver. Ashok Leyland sees this as another step toward its goal of sustainable transport and has committed to expanding its electric vehicle portfolio to help drive India's leap to cleaner, smarter, future-ready logistics.
