Air India has stepped up its West Asia flights, adding more services and offering flexible travel options for passengers heading to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The move comes at a time when India-UAE travel demand remains high, especially among expatriates and business travellers.
The airline, along with its budget arm Air India Express, is operating a mix of regular and special flights to ensure smooth connectivity. On March 27, the group planned to run around Air India flights to West Asia, showing its effort to keep routes active despite ongoing disruptions in some parts of the region.
A major focus of the expansion is the UAE, one of the busiest travel corridors for Indian passengers. To make travel easier, Air India is allowing passengers to reschedule flights without extra charges or choose refunds if their plans change. This flight rescheduling policy is expected to ease concerns for travellers dealing with uncertain schedules.
The increase in flights also comes as some international carriers have reduced their operations due to regional tensions and airspace restrictions. Air India is trying to fill this gap by adding capacity and ensuring international flight connectivity remains strong.

In recent weeks, the airline has introduced additional services to popular destinations such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Muscat. These include both scheduled flights and extra services approved to handle rising demand and assist stranded passengers, boosting India to Dubai flights and overall UAE flight services.
At the same time, Air India is taking a cautious approach. Flight schedules are being reviewed regularly based on safety conditions and regulatory approvals. Some routes may still face changes depending on the situation in West Asia, particularly due to airspace restrictions.
Passengers have been advised to check their flight status before travelling and stay updated with airline notifications, as schedules may change at short notice.
Overall, Air India’s latest move highlights its focus on Air India expansion, improving connectivity, supporting travellers with flexible airline policies, and adapting quickly to changing global travel trends.
