According to Ashish Gupta, Brand Director of Skoda Auto India, the Czech automaker is looking to grow its footprint in India by bringing several of its global nameplates to market, covering a wider set of customers.
Skoda currently offers local models such as Kushaq, Slavia, and Kylak, as well as imports such as Octavia and Kodiaq, ranging from Rs 7 lakh to over Rs 40 lakh.
"For the next year, the basic portfolio, which is the locally produced cars, remains the same. However, to excite the market, as we did with Octavia this year, we are also planning to get some more global, iconic cars into India next year," Skoda Auto India Brand Director Ashish Gupta told.

Skoda has its best-ever performance in India so far, selling 61,607 units from January to October 2025, beating its previous full-year record of 53,721 units in 2022. The company is targeting to keep its 2 percent domestic passenger vehicle market share. Gupta also mentioned that the sales momentum generated by GST reforms is expected to continue till the festive season and year-end.
The company plans to expand the Kylak range with more trims while updating Kushaq and Slavia to keep the portfolio fresh. On its electric vehicle strategy, Gupta said, "We do have a very large EV portfolio worldwide. But from my point of view, the last year, there have been so many uncertainties in the market... whether it is the FTA discussions, whether it is the EV policy and all, it's becoming very challenging to have a stable plan."
