At EICMA 2025, Hero MotoCorp introduced the NEX 3, an imagined future micro four-wheel electric solution from the upcoming ‘Novus’ range under the VIDA sub-brand.
With the debut of the NEX 3, Hero made a major move in the compact electric vehicle market, presenting a pioneering urban mobility solution that is reminiscent of the practicality that used to belong to the Tata Nano only it is now projected for a clean, electric future.
The NEX 3 comes with a tandem two-seater arrangement, is of small size, and has an enclosed, weather-resistant design. It is created to provide both comfort and convenience and, thus, can be considered a suitable mode of mobility for urban commuters as well as people living in villages.

At the launch event, Pawan Munjal, Executive Chairman of Hero MotoCorp, said, "The Novus line stands for the concepts of renewal and reinvention— it rethinks the way the world will move, thus, creating a future that is not only inspiring but also intelligent and inclusive." Subsequently, he said that the NEX 3 is the perfect example of this idea as it combines a rational layout with advanced engineering.
Along with the NEX 3, Hero’s VIDA department exhibited two radical electric motorcycle ideas—the VIDA Concept Ubex and VIDA Project VxZ, the latter being a collaboration with Zero Motorcycles (USA) which indicates Hero’s entry into the global performance EV segment.
The company also launched the VIDA VX2 city scooter in Europe and announced the VIDA DIRT.E Series— a series of electric off-road bikes comprising the DIRT.E K3 for kids and the DIRT.E MX7 Racing Concept for the fanatics.
