The commencement of commercial production at the new fertilizer manufacturing facility in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, has been announced by Kesar Petroproducts, with an annual capacity of 6000 tons. A significant diversification move into the high-end fertilizer segment is marked by the facility.
In addition to improving operational efficiency, the company's top line is anticipated to be considerably strengthened by the strategic use of pigment operations by-products for fertilizer manufacturing. Furthermore, the current facility's pigment capacity will be indirectly increased by combining the production of fertilizer with pigment activities. It is anticipated to promote better resource optimization and vertical integration while utilizing current byproducts to generate incremental value.
Approximately 600 tons of copper phthalocyanine blue crude, 150 tons of alpha blue, 200 tons of beta blue, and 50 tons of pigment green are currently manufactured by the company per month.
A wide range of end-use industries, including printing inks, paints and coatings, plastics, paper, ceramics, textiles, glass, food, and cosmetics, are provided with these colorants that are essential for business growth.
The product offerings are further diversified by the addition of a fertilizer line, and a forward-looking expansion approach is signaled. With this development, the growing demand for agro-inputs is not only being tapped into by the company, but its position as a versatile and innovation-driven manufacturer in the specialty chemicals space is also being reaffirmed.
