Henkel Adhesive Technologies India has opened a new state-of-the-art warehouse complex at Chakan, Pune, one of India's fastest-growing auto manufacturing centers. The purpose-built warehouse has been established to meet the unique logistics requirements of automotive customers to enable Just-in-Time (JIT) supply paradigms for enhanced efficiency and responsiveness.
The new warehouse facilitates better supplier collaboration and encourages automotive prototyping innovation. The facility can process non-standard prototype materials (IDH) with complete SAP-enabled traceability, recording essential information like batch numbers, production history, and expiration dates. Scalably designed, the campus is organized to accommodate growth and plant expansions through 2030 in a display of Henkel's long-term investment in the Indian automotive industry.
