Under the deal, GRSE and K2 Cranes will work together to explore opportunities for the indigenous design and manufacture of cranes used across defense, marine and shipyard settings. The goal is to cut down India’s dependence on imported equipment while building products that can also attract buyers abroad. By combining GRSE’s engineering and manufacturing strength with K2 Cranes’ specialized expertise, the partnership is expected to open up fresh business avenues in domestic and global markets.
While warship construction remains GRSE’s core focus, the company has steadily diversified into other engineering products. It has emerged as a leader in modular steel bridges, delivering more than 5,900 bridges to clients in India and overseas. GRSE also produces deck machinery and other industrial equipment. With this new collaboration, GRSE moves further into high‑value, high‑demand marine and defense systems.
