Garuda Aerospace is setting up a drone training center Jaipur under a contract with Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL), marking a fresh push to build skilled drone pilots in India’s fast-growing unmanned aviation sector.
The company has received approval to establish a DGCA-certified Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) in Jaipur, with authorization extending through 2036. This drone training center Jaipur will train candidates in small drone operations, including both daytime and nighttime flying, along with visual line-of-sight missions.
Flight training will take place at Arya College of Engineering & IT in Kukas, while classroom sessions will be conducted at the REIL campus in Mansarovar. The setup combines practical exposure with technical instruction, aligning with regulatory standards laid down by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

Agnishwar Jayaprakash, Chief Executive Officer, Garuda Aerospace, said, "This partnership with REIL is a proud moment for every team member at Garuda Aerospace ... Our mission has always been to put India in the sky, and Jaipur is our next frontier."
Garuda Aerospace will handle the complete rollout, including infrastructure, equipment, and training delivery. The company has already trained over 2,500 drone pilots across India, and this new facility is expected to expand access to certified drone education in northern India.
The initiative comes at a time when demand for trained drone operators is rising across sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure, healthcare, and disaster management. By launching this training center, Garuda Aerospace and REIL aim to close the skill gap and support India’s broader goal of becoming a global drone hub.
Operations at the Jaipur facility are expected to begin in the coming months, with enrollment open to candidates from across the country.
