The Center’s Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPTII) will be collaborating with Hafele India Pvt Ltd to empower the Indian manufacturing ecosystem by strengthening product startups, MSMEs, and entrepreneurs. The official statement was released on Tuesday by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
This MOU will be effective for two years from the date of signing. The document was signed by Sumeet Jarangal, DPIIT Director and Hafele India’s Managing Director, for South Asia Frank Schloeder. The extension of this agreement will be done based on the mutual agreement.
Under this partnership, Hafele will be supporting product innovation, local sourcing, and entrepreneurship by providing investments, guidance and insight into the global value chain. Hafele’s support will be extended to offering access to infrastructure, collaborating for technological advancements, and providing development opportunities.
The joint secretary of DPIIT stated “The partnership with Hafele India exemplifies our approach to fostering collaborative industrial ecosystems. It brings together global best practices and local entrepreneurial energy to drive sustainable manufacturing growth aligned with the Make in India vision.”
DPIIT will be supporting this ecosystem by strengthening startup connections through Startup India. This will be a collaboration between Hafele India Pvt.Ltd and Centre’s Department for Promotion of Industry. Both will be sharing a commitment to achieve the aim of making India a global manufacturing hub, by supporting the local supply chains.
