Cummins India has officially launched Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) furthering India's movement towards clean energy. The modular BESS systems offered by Cummins India can scale from 200 kWh to 2 MWh and are offered in a compact 10-ft and 20-ft container system, which benefit sectors such as manufacturing, data centers, mining, and commercial buildings.
The BESS systems utilize lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries to offer high thermal stability, long battery life, and three tiers of fire protection safety features. Each system is plug-and-play design which provides a fast rollout option for businesses to include renewable energy inputs far more easily to their current power setup by integrating energy generation options like solar and wind - allowing businesses to reduce their electricity bills.
