BEML has formed a partnership with Italy’s Tesmec to bring advanced surface miner technology to India. This collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), seeks to enhance the efficiency and environmental sustainability of mining operations.
Surface miners are specialized equipment tailored for open-cast mining. In contrast to conventional drilling and blasting techniques, these machines can directly cut and crush rock and soil, thereby minimizing dust, vibration, and environmental repercussions.
