In a strong move to accelerate industrial growth in Odisha, the Odisha government has approved 18 new projects worth ₹3,877 crore. The decision is expected to strengthen the Odisha economy while creating thousands of job opportunities in Odisha.
The approvals came during a meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg. These projects will be set up across 11 districts, including Jharsuguda, Jajpur, Khordha, Sambalpur, and Puri, ensuring that regional development in Odisha remains balanced.
Officials estimate that the new investments could generate around 7,500 jobs, offering opportunities in both manufacturing and service sectors. This is likely to benefit local communities and contribute to overall economic development in India.
The projects cover a wide range of industries such as metals and downstream manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, electronics, logistics, tourism, and hospitality. This mix highlights Odisha’s push for industrial diversification and reduced dependence on mining, while strengthening its manufacturing sector in Odisha.

One of the notable proposals includes an investment of ₹300 crore by Runaya Eckart Aluminium Powders Pvt Ltd in Jharsuguda. The company plans to manufacture specialised aluminium powder, boosting the aluminium industry in India. At the same time, expansions by steel and ferro-alloy companies will further reinforce Odisha as a manufacturing hub.
Tourism is also set to receive a boost, with new hospitality projects planned in districts such as Puri, Koraput, and Keonjhar. These initiatives are expected to improve infrastructure and drive tourism development in Odisha.
State officials emphasised that faster approvals and investor-friendly policies in Odisha remain a priority, ensuring that projects move quickly from planning to execution. With growing investor confidence and steady policy support, the state continues to attract industrial investment in India, focusing on sustainable and inclusive growth.
