Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, on Sunday said Gujarat is far more than a business location for the group while speaking at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Rajkot. “For Reliance, Gujarat is our body, heart, and soul. We are a Gujarati company,” he said.
Laying out five firm commitments, Mukesh Ambani said Reliance, already Gujarat’s largest investor with over INR 3.5 lakh crore invested in the last five years, will double that amount. “We will double this investment to INR 7 lakh crore over the next five years. This will create exponential employment, livelihoods, and prosperity for every Gujarati and every Indian,” he said.
A major focus will be clean energy leadership. At Jamnagar, Reliance is building the world’s largest integrated clean energy ecosystem spanning solar power, battery storage, green hydrogen, green fertilizers, sustainable aviation fuel, and advanced materials.

“Jamnagar, once the world’s largest exporter of hydrocarbon fuels, will in the coming years become India’s largest exporter of green energy and green materials,” Ambani said. He added that Reliance’s multi-gigawatt solar project will deliver round-the-clock clean power through advanced storage and grid systems.
The fourth commitment positions Gujarat as India’s AI pioneer. Jio is setting up India’s largest AI-ready data center in Jamnagar. “Jio will launch India’s first people-centric AI platform, built in India for India and the world,” he said, aimed at making AI accessible in local languages.
The final pledge includes support for Gujarat’s Olympic ambitions, managing the Veer Savarkar Multisports Complex, building a world-class hospital in Jamnagar, and expanding educational institutions.
Meanwhile, Karan Adani announced the Adani Group will invest INR 1.5 lakh crore in Kutch, complete the 37 GW Khavda project by 2030, and double Mundra port capacity over the next decade.
