MLL & L’Oreal India Unveil First Women-Run Warehouse in Indore

The alliance between Mahindra Logistics (MLL) and L'Oréal India in Indore is a strong indication that India's supply chain is not simply chatting about inclusion, but it is establishing the same in its business operations. The two firms have also inaugurated a warehouse solely operated by women in Madhya Pradesh, with women in the centre of logistics at the heart of the mission critical activities of the country, which has one of the most rapidly expanding consumption centres.

The facility is more than a formality since it reflects a change in the structure of how labour, productivity, and diversity collide in the warehousing ecosystem of India. The end-to-end duties are assigned to women and directly affect the level of service, business performance, including inbound handling and storage, order processing, dispatch, and quality control.

The warehouse is well-placed in Indore and serves as the distribution centre throughout central India, serving leading markets of Jabalpur, Bhopal, Indore, Singrauli, Sagar, Ratlam, Bina, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Satna, Rewa, Shahdol, Betul, Harda, Damoh, Shivpuri, Neemuch, and Khargone.
