Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru (BLR Airport) has signed a strategic MoU with Frankfurt Airport to strengthen India-Europe cargo connectivity, marking a major step in boosting bilateral air freight flows.
Announced today, the agreement aims to build a seamless and efficient cargo bridge between South India and one of Europe’s largest logistics hubs.
The partnership focuses on improving operational coordination, sharing best practices, and exploring digital solutions to streamline cargo movement. Both airports will collaborate on joint trade lane analysis, faster documentation processes, and enhanced shipment visibility. The goal is clear: reduce transit times, improve reliability, and create smoother cargo transfers between India and Europe.
As part of the India-Europe cargo connectivity push, the two airports will also work toward developing specialized corridors for high-value and time-sensitive shipments. Bengaluru has emerged as a strong export center for pharmaceuticals, electronics, perishables, and technology-driven products.
