HellermannTyton Opens Advanced Chennai Manufacturing Plant

HellermannTyton​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Pvt Ltd a Global leader of cable management and connectivity solutions, has launched its Oragadam manufacturing facility, Chennai with great fanfare. With this extension, the company makes a double play by reinforcing its commitment to innovation, regional growth, and the "Make in India" initiative in the Indian market.

The facility, which covers more than 100,000 square feet, is outfitted with advanced injection moulding technologies and is a digitally led operation. It has been designed to provide the best cable management solutions for automotive and industrial sectors. This new plant will be instrumental in creating a minimum of 200 local jobs and thus, making substantial contributions to the manufacturing ecosystem of Tamil Nadu.

At the opening ceremony, HellermannTyton APAC President, Alasdair Abercrombie Barnett, declared, "We see a lot of promise in the Indian market, and a majority of our customers are here. The investment we have made in establishing a world-class facility is the proof of our indelible commitment to India and the 'Make in India' initiative. Many more projects and expansions are in the pipeline, and our engagement here will only deepen in the next couple of years."

The factory in Chennai will be a tactical hub for HellermannTyton’s operations India and South Asia. It will support both domestic and international customers. The site is near the prominent automotive and industrial clusters and it also has good infrastructure and access to skilled talents.

HellermannTyton’s 19th manufacturing site spread across the globe is a testament to the company’s faith in India’s vibrant manufacturing industry and its pledge to deepen regional capabilities, provide customer proximity, and manufacture premium cable management products.
