The Ganga Expressway in Uttar Pradesh is set to become a major manufacturing corridor and logistics hub, with planned investments of nearly ₹46,660 crore across 12 districts. The project is expected to support industrial growth while improving transport connectivity across the state.
Stretching around 594 km, the expressway is being developed not only as a road network but also as an industrial growth zone. The Uttar Pradesh government plans to create manufacturing hubs and logistics centres along the route to attract businesses and generate employment opportunities.
Authorities have identified 12 industrial nodes under the Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Cluster (IMLC) model. Around 6,500 acres of land have been allocated for industrial development along the corridor. These hubs are expected to support sectors such as manufacturing, warehousing, supply chain infrastructure, agro-processing, and e-commerce.
Government officials said investor response has been strong, with close to 1,000 expressions of interest already received from companies looking to establish operations near the expressway. Improved road connectivity is expected to lower transportation costs and make movement of goods faster and more efficient.

The expressway corridor is likely to benefit districts that have traditionally seen limited industrial activity. Areas such as Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, and Pratapgarh could witness increased business activity as industries begin to set up operations nearby.
Officials believe the project will help create a balanced model of regional growth by bringing industries closer to developing districts. Better infrastructure, combined with industrial land availability, could encourage private investment and attract manufacturing investment into the region.
The corridor is also expected to strengthen trade links between western and eastern parts of the state. Improved connectivity may help manufacturers access markets more efficiently while reducing supply chain delays.
Industry experts see the Ganga Expressway as an important step in Uttar Pradesh’s broader effort to turn infrastructure projects into economic growth drivers. With planned industrial clusters and rising investor interest, the project could become a major economic corridor and a leading industrial corridor in northern India.
