Bharat Forge, jointly with Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS, has established a state-of-the-art Landing Gear Components Machining Plant in Mundhwa, Pune.
This plant will make Bharat Forge one of the first companies in India and one of the pioneers in scale to have OEM-approved landing gear components machining infrastructure.
The new plant combines hi-tech machining facilities that are set up with high-precision landing gear parts and this is a great step in enhancing the aerospace manufacturing ecosystem in India.
This initiative is likely to be of vital importance in boosting the presence of the country in the world supply chains of aerospace and providing the much-needed support to the civil and military aviation industries.

The diversified aerospace production portfolio being experienced by Bharat Forge now draws the entire gamut of parts, aero-engine components, airframe structures and landing gear sub-systems. The company has already defined its competencies in the manufacture of turbine and compressor components, forged rings, shafts, and discs, structural and landing gear components.
Also, Bharat Forge is planning to establish a high-end aerospace ring mill in India, which will be focused on the manufacture of high-value forged rings for aero-engine programs.
It is a major move in India towards its goal of being a global leader in aerospace equipment production and lies in the plan of both Liebherr-Aerospace and India in developing a new facility that will make the country an influential force in the global aerospace supply chain.
