ACME Solar has pushed its Surendranagar wind power project forward once again, commissioning another 16 MW of its planned 100 MW capacity.
This new phase follows the 28 MW brought online in October 2025, lifting the project’s operational output to 44 MW. With this addition, ACME Solar’s total operational portfolio has climbed to 2,934 MW, marking another steady step in its renewable expansion.
Officials from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company were on site to witness and verify the latest commissioning. The formal certification is expected soon, while the remaining project capacity will be rolled out in phases over the coming months.

The company recently secured an extension for the project’s Scheduled Commercial Operation Date from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission. The revised deadline of 5 March 2026 came after the regulator acknowledged Force Majeure events under the project’s power purchase agreement. Even with the revised SCOD, ACME Solar has already achieved early commissioning for the first two phases, reaching a cumulative 44 MW.
Backed by financing from the Power Finance Corporation and built through its in-house EPC team, the project uses SANY 4 MW turbines. Power from the site will be supplied for 25 years under a PPA between ACME Eco Clean and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam.
ACME Solar, a fully integrated clean-energy player with interests across solar, wind, storage and hybrid solutions, continues to strengthen its financial footing as well. The company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 115.06 crore in Q2 FY26, a sharp rise from Rs 15.29 crore a year earlier. Revenue jumped 80.18% YoY to Rs 467.74 crore in Q1 September 2025, underscoring its growing scale in India’s renewable sector.
