Zelio E-Mobility, a leading manufacturer of electric two- and three-wheelers, has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Cuttack, Odisha. This strategic move comes as the company sees rapid growth and high demand in Odisha and West Bengal, which have become key markets for Zelio in Eastern India.
The new plant will significantly reduce delivery timelines, which have previously taken up to a week when shipping from the Hisar (Haryana) facility. By being closer to the core customer base, Zelio can lower logistics costs and boost supply chain efficiency.
With a production capacity of 60,000 units per annum, the Cuttack plant contributes to an overall company capacity of 180,000 units per year, up from 72,000 units at the Hisar plant. The Cuttack facility marks a milestone in the company’s plans for regional expansion, especially in the fast-growing electric vehicle market in South India.

This new facility, built with an investment of under Rs 3 crore, is already operational and expected to start generating revenue immediately. The expansion will help Zelio strengthen its presence in Southern India and meet the increasing demand for electric vehicles (EVs) across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. By FY26–FY27, Zelio expects the Cuttack plant to contribute significantly to its revenue growth, driven by the surging demand for affordable EV mobility.
The facility also plays a key role in the company’s growing dealer network, improving after-sales support, and inventory management. Kunal Arya, Managing Director of Zelio E-Mobility, highlighted the importance of this expansion in meeting customer demands and driving long-term growth in the EV sector.
