On 10 August 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked the Indian technology and the Make in India program on the operation Sindoor, a military strike that destroyed terror hubs in Pakistan.
At a foundation-laying ceremony for the Metro Phase-3 project in Bengaluru, Modi heralded the operation as evidence of India developing defense capabilities by saying it brought Pakistan on their knees in a few hours.
It was an attack on the terrorist infrastructure in the heart of Pakistani territory and displayed the accuracy and capability of India indigenous defence systems.
Modi highlighted the city of Bengaluru as a central point in the city saying that it was because of innovation that young people and technology ecosystem of the city that transforms the world under the Make in India campaign. According to him, this achievement was indicative of the might of our self-reliant technology.
