Mitsu Chem Plast Limited, a leading Indian maker of polymer-based molded products, is moving ahead with plans to start manufacturing at a new unit in Boisar.
The facility, located in the MIDC Industrial Area, Boisar, Taluka Palghar, is taken on a leave-and-license basis and forms part of the company’s long-term expansion plan to support rising operational needs.
With this step, Mitsu Chem Plast Limited strengthens its production footprint as demand across segments remains steady. The company currently operates three manufacturing plants—two in Tarapur and one in Khalapur.
Together, these facilities have a combined installed manufacturing capacity of over 29,000 metric tonnes per annum. As of the quarter ended September 2025, capacity utilization stood at about 68%, reflecting consistent order flow and stable customer demand.

The proposed Boisar unit is expected to add nearly 900 metric tonnes per annum to total capacity. To support this expansion, the company plans to invest around ₹101 lakh in new machinery. The entire investment will be funded through internal accruals, keeping the balance sheet light while enabling growth. The added capacity is likely to ease load on existing plants, improve turnaround times, and allow better handling of incremental volumes.
Commenting on the development, Jagdish Dedhia, Chairman of Mitsu Chem Plast Limited, said the proposed commencement of operations at Boisar represents a planned step forward in the company’s growth journey. He added that the expansion will help improve delivery timelines, strengthen manufacturing agility, and support the company’s objective of building a scalable and dependable production platform.
