Avantel Limited, a leading provider of satellite communications and defense electronics, has opened its second facility, India's defense and space technology ecosystem receive a significant upgrade.
With a total investment of more than Rs 56 crores, the 76,000 sq. ft. facility has been developed to provide cutting-edge innovations in the Indian aerospace and defence sector, in line with the Government of India ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ vision.
This new facility will serve as a hub for designing, developing, and manufacturing advanced defense systems, with an emphasis on Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), radar systems, and satellite assembly, integration and testing (AIT). This will also permit the creation of Ground Station as a Service (GSaaS), a platform that allows easy access to satellite data for on-the-spot analysis and reception.
The company plans to recruit more than 300 employees directly and more than 1,000 employees indirectly because of their intention to expand the aerospace and defense manufacturing sector in the state of Telangana.
It is a major step in Avantel's long-term strategy as it firmly believes that this move will pave the way for the company to increase R&D activities, improve operational efficiency and achieve its goal of self-reliant innovation in defence technology.

R&D at Avantel will be home to state-of-the-art technology infrastructure, and the company will leverage it to build India's strategic communication infrastructure, and become a major player in the indigenous defense and aerospace technology movement of the country.
