Varroc Secures Global EV OEM Order for Bi-Directional Chargers

Varroc, a global Tier-1 automotive supplier, has secured a fresh order from a leading international electric vehicle OEM to supply Varroc bi-directional EV chargers, marking another step forward in its electric mobility journey.

The new program announced today makes Varroc an even stronger partner in offering important solutions in advance automotive electronics and clean mobility.

In accordance with the agreement, Varroc will design, produce, and distribute Energy Star-certified AC bi-directional wall chargers which will be manufactured with the purpose of charging a stable, high level of safety, and high level of reliability. The manufacturing will be carried out in the manufacturing plant of the company in Romania, where it will meet the international standards of quality and strict deadlines of delivery to the world EV OEM.

The six year plan is based on the volumes, and Varroc is ready to prepare its maximum production volumes per year. The projected business value at peak levels is estimated at 4391m annually or about USD 48m annually, which indicates the increased demand of Varroc bi-directional EV charger in the electric vehicle programs of the world.

Varroc is also making investment in product engineering and electronic production in an effort to sustain increasing demand of e-mobility, vehicle connectivity, and ADAS solutions.
