Industrial fasteners may be small components, but their role in manufacturing and infrastructure is fundamental. From automobiles and railway systems to power projects, refineries and large-scale construction, the reliability of an assembly often depends on the quality and consistency of the fasteners holding it together. The global fastener market is expected to reach around $110.91 billion by 2029, while India’s fastener industry is growing at approximately six percent annually, supported particularly by automotive, construction and infrastructure demand.

Rajesh P, Managing Partner
It is within this demanding environment that Rithul Industrial Products has built its presence. Established in Chennai in 2016 by Paulraj S and Rajesh P, the company began as a fastener quality consolidator and has steadily evolved into a fast-growing industrial supplier.
From two employees and two customers at inception, Rithul today has a workforce of more than 100 employees and supplies over 50 multinational clients. Growing at around 20 percent annually, the company combines a broad fastening portfolio with stringent quality systems, inventory management support and an expanding operational base.
Rajesh P, Managing Partner, holds an engineering degree along with an MBA and brings more than 15 years of industry experience in fastener manufacturing. His expertise across business management, operations and the fastener industry has played an important role in shaping Rithul’s growth and its transition towards a more manufacturing-led future.
A Comprehensive Fastening Portfolio
Rithul’s strength lies in its ability to address diverse industrial requirements through an extensive product portfolio. The company supplies hexagonal head and flange bolts, socket head bolts, square neck bolts, T-bolts, button head and countersunk screws, set screws, machine screws, thread-forming and self-tapping screws. Its portfolio also encompasses multiple varieties of nuts, washers, threaded rods, studs, dowel and spiral pins, circlips, rivets, rivet nuts and clinch nuts.
Alongside conventional steel fasteners, Rithul supplies stainless steel and brass products, enabling it to cater to customers across railway, infrastructure, oil refinery, automotive and power segments. The diversity of these sectors has also helped create resilience within the business.
“Rather than depending heavily on a single industry, Rithul has deliberately developed a diversified customer base.
When demand in one segment slows, opportunities in another help us maintain volumes and business continuity,” shares Rajesh.
This approach has proved particularly valuable in an industrial environment where infrastructure cycles, automotive demand and capital expenditure can fluctuate considerably.
Quality Backed by In-House Testing
For Rithul, supplying a comprehensive range of components is only one part of the proposition. Quality consistency remains central to its operating philosophy. The company follows a no-compromise approach to quality, supported by stringent checks and established systems designed to ensure that products consistently meet customer specifications.
Its quality framework is reinforced by ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications, reflecting disciplined practices across quality management, occupational health and safety, and environmental management.
Importantly, Rithul has strengthened this approach through its own in-house quality testing facility. The facility is equipped with advanced instruments, including a Rockwell Hardness Tester, Micro-Vickers Hardness Tester, Profile Projector, Microscope, and Coefficient of Friction Tester. The replacement of the existing Coefficient of Friction Tester is currently under plan and is scheduled to be completed within the next six months, further strengthening the facility’s testing capabilities. These capabilities enable comprehensive and accurate evaluation of fastener quality and performance before products reach customers.
The company intends to take this further by establishing a NABL-accredited quality laboratory as part of its upcoming new facility. The planned laboratory is expected to strengthen Rithul’s ability to provide precise, reliable and internationally recognized testing while responding to increasingly stringent customer requirements.
By integrating supply with inventory support, the company is positioning itself as a more closely aligned supply-chain partner rather than simply a fastener vendor
Moving Beyond Product Supply
Rithul has also moved beyond transactional supply by offering value-added services such as Kanban and vendor inventory management systems. These services help customers maintain appropriate fastener availability, improve inventory planning and reduce the operational burden associated with component replenishment.
By integrating supply with inventory support, the company is positioning itself as a more closely aligned supply-chain partner rather than simply a fastener vendor. This combination of product availability, quality assurance and responsiveness has supported its expansion from just two customers in 2016 to more than 50 multinational clients today.
The growth is equally visible internally. From a two-member team at inception, Rithul has expanded to more than 100 employees, creating the organizational capacity required to support its growing customer base and future manufacturing ambitions.
Building Manufacturing Capabilities for the Next Phase
Having established itself as a value-added supplier, Rithul is now preparing for a larger phase centred on manufacturing, automotive opportunities, exports and electric mobility. Construction is underway on a state-of-the-art facility spanning approximately 40,000 square feet at Koppur–Aranvoyal Kuppam near Thiruvallur, scheduled for inauguration in 2027.
The facility is expected to accommodate its cross functiond team including sales, purchase, dispatch, stores and accounts, enabling integrated management of business operations. More importantly, the expansion will support Rithul’s plans to establish stronger manufacturing capabilities, deepen its participation in the automotive sector and build a foundation for export operations.
Electric mobility forms an important part of this roadmap. As vehicle architectures and component requirements change with the transition towards EVs, Rithul sees an opportunity to develop fastening capabilities aligned with the emerging ecosystem.
“As the future of automotive increasingly moves towards the electric segment, Rithul also wants to play a major role in the EV space,” says Rajesh.
The company has set a target of reaching annual revenue of 1000 million within the next five years. For Rithul, however, the next phase is about more than scale. With manufacturing capabilities, a NABL-accredited laboratory, export ambitions and a larger facility taking shape, the company is progressing from an established industrial supplier towards a stronger manufacturing-led enterprise, while retaining the quality discipline and customer focus that have defined its journey since 2016.
