The Inception
Manis Foundries began operations back in 1995 with one unit, producing 40-50 tons of castings per month, initially serving the power sector and later expanding into valve industries, heavy engineering and mining.
In 2004-2005, the second unit was established with a capacity of 100 tons per month, bringing total production to around 120 ton.
Recent upgrades to the first unit increased its capacity to 50–60 tons per month, while the second unit now produces 130 tons monthly, taking combined production to 180 tons.
Today, the company supplies critical castings to major public sector units and defense applications, including HVF, NLC, American Petroleum Industries through BHEL -Trichy, and multiple BEML divisions. Notably, its castings meet stringent specifications, earning certifications such as ISO 9001:2015, Well Known Certificate Issued by Central Board Of Boilers as per Indian Boiler Board Regulations-1950, API- 20A Certificate, Foundry Qualification for castings for use in the Petroleum and Natural Gas Industries As per API-20A, 3rd Edition, July 2024, Certificate for welding of railway vehicles and components according to EN 15085- 2 : 2020 plus A1-2023 and NABL accreditation to Chemical & Mechanical lab.

Manis Foundries has a fully equipped R&D and engineering department staffed with highly qualified and experienced engineers. The lab is accredited by NABL (National Accreditation Board for Laboratories) for testing chemical and mechanical properties.
The engineering team interprets complex drawings and produces castings that meet exact quality requirements. It includes engineers with over 20 years of experience, led by a metallurgist with more than 30 years of steel foundry expertise, overseeing development, engineering, R&D and production. Furthermore, the company possesses advanced facilities for pattern shop, melting, molding, heat treatment with quenching facilities, welding and ensuring comprehensive capabilities for chemical and mechanical testing as well as casting production.

The Path Ahead
The company plans to install a new CNC machine shop and a Continuous Moulding Mixer with Two Part Alpha Set Resin Bonded Molding Process to boost productivity and quality. In total, the company aims to grow its annual turnover from 30 crores to 100 crores within five years.
