When electric three wheelers first began carving out their space on Indian roads, the conversation was often around affordability and battery life. For manufacturers racing to gain early traction, these variables morphed into a high-stakes equation, on how to deliver consistent performance, extend range, differentiate, and accelerate time to market, without delay or compromise. That’s where IRP Systems India comes in.
IRP Systems India is the Indian subsidiary of IRP Systems, a global company leveraging advanced software defined powertrain systems for EVs, based also in Europe and Israel. It offers modular products, powered by software that allows OEMs to go to market faster, while delivering unmatched performance, endless configur ability, better range, smart diagnostics, and enhanced functional safety. The company creates software driven controllers and motors for various e-mobility platforms, from light commercial vehicles to 3-wheelers and motorcycles. “Our main objective is to make electric vehicles the new normal. We’re enabling a smarter, faster, and more scalable path to electrification”, says Fran Ribas, Director, IRP Systems. “Our mission is to make electric mobility accessible for every one, everywhere”, Fran adds.
Built Around OEMs
“India’s fast-evolving EV landscape demands partners with deep local understanding”, says Balaji GN, Managing Director (India), IRP Systems. “At IRP India, our close proximity to customers and strong local presence allow us to move quickly, integrate seamlessly, and empower OEMs in bringing competitive and optimal vehicle offerings to market”, Balaji adds. The company’s offering is a customizable, system-level integration built to reflect the realities and variances of every OEM’s use case, whether they are producing a 48-volt 3-wheeler or a 100-kilowatt light commercial vehicle. At the center of this architecture are IRP Systems' EVVER hardware modular solutions and TRUEDRIVE software, the advanced brain of the system.
EVVER, short for Electric Vehicles for Everyone, Everywhere, encapsulates the modularity and flexibility of IRP Systems' controllers and motor families. The EVVER Dynamic series targets the 48-96V segment common to two-and three-wheelers. The controller is software-defined, meaning that core functionalities can be configured or scaled with minimal friction. EVVER Hi- Dynamic extends the voltage ceiling to 450V and power output up to 100kW, addressing the requirements of four-wheelers and LCVs with lean hardware and control algorithms.
Crucially, it complies with ISO 26262 functional safety and IP67 standards, which are non-negotiable in global markets. The electric motors, ranging from 8 to 80 kW, are optimized to integrate seamlessly with IRP Systems' controllers. The plug-and-play compatibility allows OEMs to assemble entire powertrain solutions while retaining flexibility across vehicle platforms.

Furthermore, TRUEDRIVE is proprietary embedded software that controls the entire electric drive system, enabling feature customization without hardware redesign. Developed in-house and customizable from the desktop toolkit, TRUE DRIVE enables manufacturers to tailor control parameters specific to their vehicle archi-tecture to adapt multiple functions and modes highly valued by the final user.
Speed to Market through Engineering Depth
IRP Systems bridges the gap between ideation and execution through its agile development process that is based on lean, modular, and robust hardware, integrated with customizable software that reduces development and integration cycles. The entire product design is performed in-house by a multidisciplinary team of engineers working across mechanical, electronics, simulation, systems architecture, software, control, and validation.
Make in India
The decision to locate manufacturing in India also brings a strategic advantage under the FAME subsidy framework. “India is one of the fastest-growing and most dynamic EV markets in the world, and its rapid transition to sustainable mobility aligns perfectly with IRP Systems' mission to make electric vehicles accessible to everyone, everywhere”, says Moran Price, Co- Founder & CEO, IRP Systems.
“We’re proud to support this transformation with cutting-edge, SW-driven and data-driven e-powertrain technology, a strong local team, and mass production capabilities, delivering the performance, efficiency, and scale our OEM partners need to succeed in the Indian and global markets”, Moran concludes.
