For years, Indian manufacturers in textiles, footwear, automotive, and stone cutting relied on imported CO₂ laser tubes. These components are critical to laser machines but notorious for their fragility and replacement delays.
Importing from China often meant long lead times, high logistics costs, and the risk of receiving damaged glass tubes with little scope for warranty or after-sales support. For resellers and machine builders, this created an endless cycle of higher costs and dissatisfied customers. Instead of accepting imports as the only option, Caan Laser Tech has built India’s first line of refillable and serviceable CO₂ laser tubes.
By rethinking the very design of the product, Caan Laser Tech has introduced a new level of reliability and accountability into the photonics supply chain. The company eliminates the throwaway model that has dominated the industry by designing laser tubes that can be serviced and refilled.
“We are India’s first manufacturer of refillable and serviceable CO₂ laser tubes”, says Ashwath C N, Co-Founder & CMO, Caan Laser Tech. “We also offer a buyback program for resellers, OEMs, and aggregators, ensuring that our clients benefit from lower costs, reduced downtime, and extended product life”, Ashwath adds.
Built Around Client Needs
Caan Laser Tech has shaped its portfolio around the distinct needs of its clients, structuring its products into three series:
J, M, and MX. The J Series anchors industries that thrive on scale, from textiles and footwear to leather and automotive, delivering reliable medium-range power to keep production lines moving without interruption.
For businesses where precision and durability define competitiveness, the M Series provides higher wattage capabilities, ensuring both accuracy and resilience in demanding environments. At the apex of its offerings, the MX Series takes on the most rugged challenges, from defense applications to stone cutting, with machines capable of handling wattages up to 1500W.
Patented refillable designs are at the bedrock of these series, enabling the company to reduce manufacturing waste, lower CO₂ emissions, and create a new economic model for the industry. For clients, it means higher returns on investment and a service model that minimizes risk.
Innovation for Consistency & Scale
As a young manufacturer, Caan Laser Tech recognizes the role of automation and advanced processes in delivering consistent quality. Automation is being integrated into critical stages such as optics alignment, gas filling, and grinding to minimize human error. The adoption of PVD coating techniques enhances the durability of tubes, while AI-driven diagnostics are planned to support predictive maintenance.
For clients, these moves translate into measurable outcomes: fewer machine stoppages, consistent laser performance, and higher throughput. In industries where a single machine breakdown can disrupt an entire production line, such reliability is essential.

Growth & the Road Ahead
In just two years since incorporation, Caan Laser Tech has transitioned from prototype development to steady production. Backed by Startup India recognition and state-level grants, the company now produces 50 tubes per month with plans to scale toward the Indian market’s estimated demand of 600–700 tubes monthly.
Expansion plans include higher wattage industrial tubes, laser optics, integrated laser systems, and defense-grade applications. By entering these adjacent categories, Caan Laser Tech aims to reduce India’s dependence on imports across the photonic value chain. Export markets are also on the horizon, with the long-term vision of becoming a global photonic solutions provider built from India. By localizing production, embedding innovation, and designing for circularity, the company can offer reliability, control, and growth.
