Rolls-Royce has established a new contract with Bharat Forge Ltd for the manufacturing and delivery of fan blades for its Pearl 700 and Pearl 10X engine programs.
This new contract reaffirms the intent to expand local sourcing and further develop partnerships in India, and supports the wider strategy for India to become a more significant player in the global aerospace supply chain.
The new contract builds on the relationship shared by the companies that commenced in 2020 when Bharat Forge began supplying components for the Pearl 700 engine program. Since then, India's largest engineering group has demonstrated its capability to produce high-quality products, most recently delivering its first zero-defect fan blade in 2024. This contract now expands Bharat Forge's supply chain role to cover the Pearl 10X engine, the largest and most powerful variant of Rolls-Royce's Pearl family of engines.
