
Rockwell Automation, Inc. concluded the seventh edition of India Inc On The Move (IIOTM) in Mumbai, bringing together industry leaders and tech innovators to spotlight the future of smart manufacturing in India.
The event focused on how artificial intelligence, digitalization, and sustainable practices are reshaping Indian manufacturing and driving long-term industrial growth.
Held under the theme The Future Is Here: Smart. Sustainable. AI-Driven Manufacturing, IIOTM 2026 drew over 1,200 attendees. The event featured more than 30 sessions, 70 speakers, and 30 demo booths that showcased advanced automation and digital solutions.

Discussions centered on AI-powered autonomous operations, software-defined manufacturing, and intelligent sustainability across sectors such as automotive, life sciences, food and beverage, and semiconductors.
In his keynote address, Dilip Sawhney, Managing Director, Rockwell Automation India, said: “IIOTM stands as a catalyst for transformative thinking, bringing leaders together to envision how artificial intelligence can redefine modern manufacturing, unlock new possibilities at scale, and shape a resilient, sustainable industrial future for India.”

He added: “India stands at a pivotal moment, where artificial intelligence, digitalisation, and sustainability are converging to redefine industrial competitiveness. The next era of ‘smart’ manufacturing will be shaped by autonomous, software-defined operations. For the industrial world, however, AI must rise to a higher purpose—being deterministic, explainable, and fully auditable.”
The India Inc On The Move platform also reinforced how smart manufacturing will strengthen India’s push toward Viksit Bharat by 2047, especially in emerging sectors like electronics and semiconductors.
