
According to JK Tyre and Industries, the first passenger car tires having sensors integrated into the tire structure have been released in India.
The product was created at the company's research and development centers and produced at its Banmore, Madhya Pradesh, and facility. Through JK Tyre dealerships, the tires will be available in aftermarket sizes between 14 and 17 inches.
The new tires have sensors built into the tire carcass to continuously monitor temperature, air pressure, and possible air leaks. Real-time data transmission to the driver is intended to increase safety and facilitate early maintenance intervention.

According to JK Tyre, by assisting users in maintaining ideal tire conditions, the smart tires are intended to provide extended tread life and increased fuel efficiency in addition to improving safety. According to the business, the integrated sensors are meant to work in a variety of usage scenarios and throughout the duration of the tire's life.
