Himadri Ships First Coal Tar Pitch Export to Middle East

Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd (HSCL), a prominent international player in specialty chemicals and advanced carbon solutions, has successfully carried out its first export of liquid coal tar pitch to clients in the Middle East.

The consignment, carried out via the firm’s exclusive terminal at New Mangalore Port, signifies a significant advancement for the organization and India’s growing position in the worldwide carbon materials supply chain. The shipment consisted of 3,600 tonnes of liquid coal tar pitch, showcasing Himadri's ability to handle significant international deliveries effectively. Although the company has a well-established terminal on the eastern coast at Haldia, this initial operation from the western coastline creates an extra export route.

The updated route improves Himadri’s capacity to support key industrial centers—especially in the Middle East and the Americas—by boosting its logistical adaptability, port usage, and delivery dependability. Liquid coal tar pitch serves as a crucial component in aluminum smelters, graphite electrode production facilities, and various high-temperature industrial processes requiring reliable performance and high structural integrity.
