Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has been awarded a large domestic contract from Pawan Hans, which will include ten Dhruv NG helicopters as well as spare parts and accessories worth more than Rs 1,800 crores. The contract is to be completed by HAL by 2027.
This contract from Pawan Hans, based in Noida, represents a major step for HAL toward supporting domestic capabilities in terms of both the Indian aerospace industry and the Indian defence industry.
One of the main focuses of HAL is to continue developing advanced manufacturing technology-based solutions for use within India; thus deemed this contract as "domestic," which HAL has confirmed shows there is no interest by the promoter or the promoter's group entities; therefore, the agreement between HAL and Pawan Hans does not qualify as a related party transaction.
