Patel Engineering has secured two projects worth around ₹800 crore for mining-related activities in Chhattisgarh. The company has received Letters of Intent (LoIs) from Saidax Engineers and Infrastructures, with the combined value of both LoIs amounting to ₹798.19 crore (excluding taxes), Patel Engineering said in a statement.
These projects involve the execution of excavation and associated works, along with the transportation of coal at the Jhiria West OCP in the Hasdeo Area of Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, for South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), a subsidiary of Coal India. Patel Engineering’s Managing Director, Kavita Shirvaikar, stated that these new projects come in addition to a robust tender pipeline of more than ₹34,000 crore already bid and under evaluation.

She also noted that the company aims to participate in additional business opportunities worth approximately ₹18,000 crore expected to be opened for bidding before the end of the current financial year.
