IndieSemiC will lead the end-to-end development process, covering RF design, antenna engineering, hardware and firmware integration, testing, certification, and manufacturing. Nordic Semiconductor will contribute its advanced low-power wireless system-on-chip technology, which is already widely used in global IoT applications.
The companies aim to reduce the complexity of product development for original equipment manufacturers by offering plug-and-play connectivity solutions. This approach allows businesses to accelerate time-to-market without investing heavily in in-house wireless design capabilities.
The partnership comes at a time when demand for connected devices is rising across sectors such as smart homes, healthcare, industrial automation, and automotive systems. By combining Nordic’s chip technology with IndieSemiC’s design and manufacturing expertise, the companies are targeting both domestic and international markets.
This move also aligns with India’s broader push to strengthen its semiconductor ecosystem and move up the value chain in electronics manufacturing. With global adoption already underway, the collaboration signals a step forward in positioning India as a key player in advanced electronics design and innovation.
