Did you know, in India, the Industrial Computers and Embedded systems sector is experiencing rapid growth at an annual rate of 15 to 20 percent ? The reason behind this growth is driven by technological advances and a rising demand for automation. This expansion is further supported by government initiatives promoting higher Indian content in these products. As a result, Industrial and embedded systems are increasingly deployed as edge computing units at the source, whether in Power/Energy sector or tolling stations or industrial machinery.
With this growth, however, comes a set of challenges. Companies face pressure to meet the increasing demand while maintaining high quality, reliability, and compliance with local content regulations. Additionally, the need for robust solutions capable of operating in diverse industrial environments adds further complexity to product development and deployment.
Amid this complex landscape, Technics Infosolutions leverages its expertise in industrial computing and embedded systems to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions that meet both technical and regulatory standards. With a strong market presence, the company continues to serve critical industrial applications, driving India’s automation and digitalization goals forward.
Tackling Market Constraints
Technics Infosolutions stands out in this dynamic landscape as it tackles a major supply gap created by shortages of memory, SSDs, CPUs and other critical components that India imports from Taiwan, Europe, Singapore and China. Being an authorized premium channel partner with two companies, namely Advantech and DFI from Taiwan also helps fill this gap.
Today, the prices for key components have climbed by 100 percent to 400 percent. This heavy dependence on Intel and major memory manufacturers is causing a temporary supply gap that is expected to last four to six months. To tackle such a situation, the company carries large inventories to deliver products at the right price and on time, and has sufficient stock of memory for now.
Carving a Niche for Itself
Technics Infosolutions differentiates itself through three core strengths. Firstly, the company holds BIS certification for more than 90 models and every system reaches customers with full compliance. Additionally, the company also secures type-test approvals for models to validate temperature and humidity performance. In total, the company operates with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certifications and all products carry CE and FCC approvals.
We have grown into a 50+crore business since starting in 2013, with an average annual growth of about 20 percent in quantity and about 10 percent in revenue
Secondly, the company maintains strict quality standards and runs eight-hour burn-in tests for every machine, a practice no competitor follows. Last, but not the least, is the provision of on-site support. This is a key advantage because the team resolves issues at the customer’s location, ensuring hassle-free service. “Over the years, we have grown into a 50-crore business since starting in 2013, with an average annual growth of about 20 percent in quantity and about 10 percent in revenue,” states Abhay Tandon, Managing Director, Technics Infosolutions.
The Robust Future Roadmap
Looking ahead, the company wishes to increase its production capacity from 40 computers a day to 60 a day by April next year. With presence in Delhi, Chandigarh, Mumbai and Bangalore. Technics Infosolutions plans to expand east in either Kolkata or Raipur to support strong clients such as OPTCL and the West Bengal State Electricity Corporation.
