Avaada Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat to invest ₹36,000 crore in renewable energy infrastructure, which encompasses solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
This agreement was formalized at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2025 and details the intention to establish 5 GW of solar capacity, 1 GW of wind capacity, and 5 GWh of battery storage across various districts in the state.
According to the stipulations of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), projects are set to be established in Kutch, Banaskantha, and Surendranagar. Construction is projected to commence in phases from 2027 to 2030.

These initiatives are designed to enhance the state's clean energy production and ensure improved reliability of the power grid through effective energy storage and continuous power supply.
The substantial investment is anticipated to create more than 1,000 direct jobs and 2,000 indirect employment opportunities in Gujarat. Furthermore, an additional 5,000 positions are expected to arise during the construction phase.
Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, said “Avaada Group has been a key contributor to Gujarat’s renewable energy sector for more than a decade. Their continued commitment through this ₹36,000 crore investment strengthens our mutual efforts towards sustainable development. The state government will provide full support to ensure timely implementation of these projects.”
