Laying stress on the launch, ZF Group President – Region India, Akash Passey, mentioned that the move is ZF's focus on India's evolutionary rail experience. “India’s rail sector is entering a transformative phase with ambitious modernisation and high-speed projects. By introducing locally produced advanced dampers, we are reinforcing our commitment to the growth of this sector.”
Karsten Hofmann, Sales Head – Special Vehicle and Railway Chassis Components, ZF Group, commented, “The Indian rail market is poised for significant growth in the coming years. ZF is committed to delivering world-class products locally to support this transformation. Our advanced dampers exemplify ZF’s dedication to quality, reliability and innovation for the Indian rail ecosystem.”
Made in the Chakan plant of ZF, the dampers are capable of meeting international validation norms while driving the company's continued focus on innovation and localization. With increased dynamic stiffness and demonstrated performance in adverse weather conditions, they reduce downtime and total cost of ownership, key considerations for India's growing rail network.
