Haveus Aerotech, a company that offers Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services in Gurugram, has made its first major step into the Indian defence manufacturing sector.
With the induction of the company as a subcontractor to a leading defence Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), it has been permitted to carry out crucial manufacturing operations such as assembly, testing, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of aerospace units, including Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).
As a part of its strategy to amplify operational avenues, Haveus Aerotech, which has been mainly engaged in MRO services, is taking a step further into the realm of manufacturing-related activities that are pivotal for the reliability, performance, and safety of the aerospace sector.
Their decision to pivot strategically is in harmony with India's national-level campaigns that advocate local manufacturing and self-reliance as a result of the Make in India and defence production policies.

The organization that is presently functioning out of New Delhi and Bengaluru has the ambition to not only extend its reach into Kolkata and Mumbai but also to increase its manufacturing capacities and thereby meet the requirements of the Indian defence aerospace ecosystem that is rapidly expanding.
Haveus Aerotech’s subcontractor status with the defence PSU is a testimony to its ardent zeal for the aerospace local supply chain strengthening.
The transition of the firm towards assembly, testing, and NDT, as per Chairman and MD Anshul Bhargava, enhances its technical strength and elevates it to a higher value-added contributor position in India’s aerospace sector.
The expansion is in sync with the Indian government's policy to develop in-house aerospace capabilities and thus, reduce the country's reliance on foreign suppliers and also, by extension, increase the export potential.
