VinFast and Castrol India to Boost EV Services Nationwide

VinFast Auto India has announced collaboration with Castrol India Limited, to provide reliable and accessible after-sales services that will assist electric vehicle (EV) customers across India.

This effort signifies VinFast's perseverance to establish a strong EV service ecosystem across the nation, ensuring its expanding customer base has a trustworthy EV service experience. As part of the agreement, Castrol's network has over 750 Castrol Auto Service (CAS) locations in over 300 cities will assist VinFast owners.

Each of the CAS locations will be fitted with VinFast-branded service bays, EV-trained and certified technicians, and genuine VinFast spare parts. VinFast is providing the diagnostic tools, service manuals, training, and parts warranty, and Castrol will provide the service infrastructure and high-quality service level assurance.

Leveraging Castrol's established network, VinFast customers will have access to consistent, transparent, and technologically advanced service experience. The partnership reinforces VinFast's larger EV ownership sustainability objective, that ownership experience of EVs across India will be seamless and reliable. Pham Sanh Chau, the CEO of VinFast Asia, remarked that reliable after-sales service is paramount to cultivating a thriving EV ecosystem in India.

Rajeev Govil, Senior Vice President, India B2B, Castrol India, added “As the electric vehicle market grows in India, after-sales service is crucial to building customer trust. VinFast has reinforced its commitment to the Indian market by opening its first overseas assembly plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, with an initial capacity of 50,000 vehicles per year, expandable to 150,000. The company is also collaborating with leading dealer groups to launch 35 dealerships in 27 cities by 2025.

With the recent launch of premium EVs, VF 6 and VF 7, VinFast and Castrol aim to elevate service standards through genuine parts, advanced diagnostics, and a digital-first approach, contributing to India’s sustainable mobility vision while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
