NCC had obtained an order for Rs 2,090.5 crore from the Bihar Water Resources Department for the building of the Barnar reservoir scheme in the Jamui area, NCC rose 2.19% to Rs 216.75.
Building the Barnar reservoir, dams, irrigation channels, and other related projects are all included in the scope of work. The contract will be carried out by Construction and has a total value of 2,090.5 crore, and moreover it is 30 months Defect Liability Period (DLP).
After a 30-month project completion time, there will be a 60-month defect liability period. The business explained that the contract does not qualify as a related-party transaction and that neither the promoters nor any connected group businesses had any stake in the awarding authority.

NCC works in the infrastructure sector, mainly developing commercial and industrial infrastructure, housing projects, roads, bridges, and flyovers, projects related to water supply and the environment, mining, power transmission lines, irrigation, hydrothermal power, etc.
Comparing Q1 FY26 to Q1 FY25, the company's consolidated net profit decreased 8.46% to Rs 192.14 crore from Rs 209.92 crore. In the first quarter of FY26, revenue from operations also decreased 6.31% year over year (YoY) to Rs 5,178.99 crore.
