India’s renewable energy sector continues to gain momentum as large-scale solar projects drive EPC activity, capacity expansion, and clean energy investments. Vikran Engineering rose 4.66 percent to ₹101 after securing a major order worth ₹459.20 crore from NTPC Renewable Energy for a 400 MW AC solar power project at Chitrakoot-1 in Uttar Pradesh.
In an exchange filing, the company said it has received the award of contract for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) activities, including inland transportation, insurance, installation, testing and commissioning, along with guarantee tests. The scope of work falls under the Balance of System (BoS) package for the development of a 400 MW grid-connected solar PV project in Chitrakoot.
The total order value stands at ₹459.20 crore, and the project is scheduled to be executed within a 12-month timeframe, reinforcing Vikran Engineering’s execution capabilities in large-scale renewable infrastructure projects.

The company clarified that neither its promoters nor members of the promoter group have any interest in the awarding authority, and the transaction does not qualify as a related-party transaction under applicable regulatory norms.
