Pristine Logistics & Infraprojects, supported by Global Infrastructure Partners India, has officially initiated Bihar’s first-ever Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Bihta, nearly 40 km from Patna. Marking a substantial milestone, the facility serves as the state’s first dry port and a serious step forward in improving Bihar’s industrial and trade competencies.
Purposefully developed to streamline logistics and ease merchandise movement, the ICD goals are to reduce transportation blocks and simplify supply chain operations. It offers a one-stop logistics solution with customs clearance, warehousing, and multimodal transport connectivity as well as rail and road access to key gateway ports. The hub allows direct access to international shipping line containers, providing dynamic support to local exporters and importers.
The Bihta ICD is designed to fuel up industrial activity in the region, invite both domestic and foreign investments, and integrate Bihar more efficiently into India’s global trade framework. It reveals Pristine Logistics’ broader mission to create a healthy network of rail-linked logistics terminals, with operative services already recognized in main trade corridors across Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab, West Bengal, Haryana, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Nepal.
This growth not only improves Bihar’s substructure but also points to Bihta as a central logistics hub in eastern India, proposing substantial economic and strategic benefits to the region’s manufacturing and trading sectors.
